anyone of us in The Feel Good Tour never did think about. That is, getting instruments in the hands
of prisoners in jails. We all know how music helps out and heals and more to the point relieves the
tensions in life. I have done more then a few gigs in jails and I can tell you yes, there is a pile of it but
music seems to help out in that way. I really don’t know how it works all I know is it works. I played
this one time in sort of like a out door pit. All the prisoners were inside the pit and the jail wanted me to play on the roof looking down in the pit. I told them I wanted to go in the pit. They told me there is no way they could guarantee my safety. I told them I understood that but let me in the pit and they did.
All worked just fine and we all had a good laugh. Anything you say at this kind of gig is funny. But after the gig was over this very large bad looking black dude came up to me to shake my hand and wanted to thank me and would I sign the back of his t-shirt?
So the point is it’s a damn good idea here is Billy’s site as to do with this project, http://www.jailguitardoors.org.uk/
